"Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope brought him to Halifax in May 1980, where he met with civic officials and ministers of the Nova Scotia government. At Province House, he was greeted by Transportation Minister Tom McInnis, Premier John Buchanan and Health Minister Dr. Gerald Sheehy" (Chronicle Herald Archives)
